Justine Mantor-Waldie will present a demonstration of her painting technique at the Payson Art League meeting, Tuesday, March 16 at 7:00. Justine is known for her vibrant landscape and desert floral paintings on Ampersand boards. Her current work combines etching through the black down to the white Kaolin clay on Ampersand Scratchboard with iridescent acrylic inks, liquid acrylics and regular inks. She combines floating techniques with etched line boarders to create luminescent paintings. Justine will bring examples of Oil Pastels on Ampersand Green, gray and brown pastel board as well as Clayboard and Aquaboard

Justine is a retired Associate Professor from Loyola University of Chicago and she currently teaches Color and Design at Mesa Community College along with numerous workshops as a representative for Ampersand's boards. Her work is in many private collections and several museums around the country. Mantor-Waldie is a member of The Fountain Hills Artists Gallery where her work is displayed with 39 other artists. Additionally Justine is represented by Sedona Artists Center and Echo Gallery in Flagstaff. Justine will be the featured artist at Echo Gallery's April Exhibit, Opening Friday, April 7.
