Local artist Sally Myers will speak at the November 19th Payson Art League meeting, demonstrating how to take photos of your artwork and put them on your computer, as well as using your photos on the internet and making prints. She will also demonstrate how to sell on Etsy, an online marketplace where artists and others connect to buy and sell unique goods.
Owner of the Art Nook Gallery in Swiss Village, Sally provides an outlet for other artists to show and sell their work. As an artist, she works in oil and acrylic as well as designing turquoise and sterling silver jewelry. “Living in the Tonto Forest provides the peace and quiet that helps me create oil paintings,” Sally says. “Color applied with brush and palette knife on canvas in an easy flowing manner, presents an uplifting emotion.”
Artists are encouraged to bring their laptops or other devices as wi-fi is available in the meeting room.
The public is invited to join art league members Tuesday, November 19 at 6 p.m. at the Rim Country Health and Retirement Center, 807 W. Longhorn Rd. in the dining room. Light refreshments will be served.
