Sue Jones   (Presenter and Bio)

Born with a brush in her hand, Sue began drawing and painting at an early age.  For many years she worked in oils.  Thirty years ago she was introduced to china painting and found her niche.  She loves it because many pieces are not only decorative, but functional.  Although drawn to a Victorian style, her subject matter is endless.

Before moving to Arizona in 1995, she operated a gift shop and taught classes.  During this time she specialized in matching globes on antique lamps, and doing custom tile work for interior decorators.  She recently finished place settings for twelve and eight, plus serving pieces, totalling 175 pieces.  Her commissions include several Hollywood celebrities.

Sue's work has been shipped world wide, and can be seen locally at Granny's Attic Antiques and her home studio in Payson.  Publications include International Porcelain Artist and The China Decorator magazines.

Currently, Sue is a member of International Porcelain Art Teachers, Inc. (IPAT), World Organization of China Painters (WOCP), and Payson Art League.  Her work is signed with her maiden name "Abrigg".
